We accept members of Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOF), Help Exchange (HelpX), etc, all year round. There are olive groves, orchard, vegetable gardens, flower gardens, dams, dogs, donkeys, and poultry. Work includes all aspects of property management, olive groves, and B&B. The work is always hard, especially in the heat.
We prefer those who have done WWOOFing before, as we find they do not have unrealistic expectations of WWOOFing, and are more likely to appreciate what Mengyuan has to offer. WWOOFers have use of guest facilities, including heated massaging spa, library, hammocks, table tennis, board games, DVD movie library, and Internet. If you would like to do WWOOFing at Mengyuan, feel free to email or ring at any time. As a primary producer, Mengyuan is able to assist with your Second Working Holiday visa. You must discuss this with us prior to coming to Mengyuan as only specific work is covered by the scheme.
If you have any special skills and/or experience that you think we may be able to utilize, please let us know. There have been several times when a WWOOFer has presented with exactly the experience we were looking for at the time. No matter how trivial it may seem, please let us know. Meals are mixed. We are not in a position to cater for special dietary needs such as vegetarian.

Mengyuan has four guest bedrooms (2 doubles and
2 twins), so we can
accommodate up to eight WWOOFers, but we normally only take one or two
WWOOFers at a time, unless our current projects require more.
If you are racist, bigoted, homophobic, anti-gay, highly religious, etc. or
have any similar attributes, you should not come to Mengyuan. We doubt that such
attitudes would make your stay at Mengyuan comfortable, and we would certainly
not be comfortable with you, so we suggest you move on to your next destination
and give Mengyuan a miss. Life is too short and precious to waste it on people with
such attitudes.
Many of our WWOOFers are in Australia to
improve their skill with the English language. We are happy to help. In the spa
after a hard day's work, is often a good opportunity to ask questions and
practice your English.
