Mengyuan accepts Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOFers) throughout the entire year. WWOOFers at Mengyuan are provided with lodging and meals, get to stay in the comfort of the B&B, and have use of all facilities including the spa.
We also normally prefer those who have done WWOOFing before, as we have found that they appreciate what Mengyuan has to offer and look after things with greater care. No vegetarians please unless previously agreed, as it makes meal catering just that much more difficult, so advise us when you ring or email. When we do take vegetarian WWOOFers, we go vegetarian as well for the duration of their stay which keeps life simple. The work involves all aspects of managing the property, the olive groves, and the B&B. There are dogs, donkeys, sheep, and chickens to tend to. There are always olive leaves to be picked and processed for our Mengyuan Organic Olive Leaf Capsules & Tea. If you would like to do WWOOFing at Mengyuan, feel free to ring at any time. Mengyuan has four guest bedrooms (3 doubles and 1 twin), so we can
accommodate up to eight WWOOFers, but we normally prefer to only take one or two
WWOOFers at a time unless our current projects require more.
Many of our WWOOFers have been from Korea and Japan, who are in Australia to
improve their skill with the English language. We are happy to help. In the spa
after a hard day's work, is often a good opportunity to ask questions and
practice your English.
